CentroVerde at Montclair Recieves Redeveloper status, Says Brian Stolar, CEO Of The Pinnacle Companies

The Pinnacle Companies  was named in a joint venture with DCH Investments Inc. to form Montclair Acquisition Partners LLC (MAP). On April 9, 2012, The Township of Montclair, NJ, had passed a resolution approving the Montclair Center Gateway Redevelopment Plan – CentroVerde at Montclair.
The plan, developed in conjunction with the Township, was proposed by Pinnacle Companies CEO Brian Stolar. The area is located on Bloomfield Avenue and bordered by Valley Road and Orange Avenue, and has long been in need of redevelopment, according to the Township Council.
The Township Council has desired a vital business district and a central area to unite the diversity and cultural sophistication in downtown Montclair, which has become one of the most talked-about towns in New Jersey.
Ultimately, the findings of an independent planning firm were accepted, and the Council adopted an ordinance implementing the plan, which will now go before the Planning Board for final site plan approval.
The vision of a connected community has united Montclair’s elected officials and the principals of MAP. This next-generation project will provide transit connections to the NJT train stations in the Township, energy efficient construction, and sustainable solar power. Hence the name CentroVerde (which literally means “Green City”).
It’s a community concept that looks to the future, with housing (for rent or sale), amenities, and services conveniently nearby, and taking advantage of modern technology. Construction will feature high-efficiency heating, Energy Star-rated appliances, high-performance interior and exterior lighting, low-flow water conservation systems, dual flush toilets, total-building ventilation, and renewable solar power.
The project hopes to become LEED certified, an officially “green” designation. The train station and other downtown venues will be accessible via a shuttle service. Electric or hybrid shared cars and rental bikes will also be available as a part of the community amenities.
